The success of Fox’s Deadpool has thankfully shaken up the superhero genre, leading to an R-Rated Wolverine film and an R-Rated Batman v Superman director’s cut.

That’s not all, though, as Fox has now announced two more Marvel films, one of which is expected to be an unconfirmed sequel to the Ryan Reynolds starring superhero extravaganza.

However, as great as it is we’ll likely be seeing the Merc with a Mouth sooner than anticipated, it does mean that the studio has moved the release of Gambit.

The Channing Tatum-starring film was supposed to hit cinemas October 2017, but after numerous production problems and a change of director, it has been delayed to an as-yet unconfirmed date.

Gambit could very well be aiming for one of the two unannounced slots, the first dated for 6 October 2017 and the second 12 January 2018 (the same date as Blade Runner 2).

Perhaps Fantastic Four 2? We think not. X-Men: Apocalypse is currently the last scheduled proper X-Men film, so what seems more likely is another superhero team-up.
