Just when you though Jennifer Lawrence couldn’t get any more bad-ass, a deleted scene of the actress lip-syncing for her life in American Hustle has emerged online.

The scene shows Lawrence in-character as neurotic housewife Rosalyn Rosenfeld as she dances around her living room to Santana’s “Evil Ways”.

Filmed in a single shot by director David O Russell, Lawrence’s spirited performance sees the Oscar-nominated actress get down on the floor and swing her peroxide locks about while wearing rubber gloves.

Released as an extended scene on the American Hustle DVD, there is no indication about where the scene was meant to have come in the film.

But given the intensity of J Law singing the lyrics “I’m getting tired / Of waiting / And fooling around / I’ll find somebody / Who won’t make / Me feel like a clown”, it’s likely to have come after Rosalyn realises her husband (Christian Bale) has been having an affair with Amy Adams’ character.

Lawrence won a Bafta for her performance in the Seventies con-man film, but missed out to Lupita Nyong’o at the Oscars in the Best Supporting Actress category.

Despite being nominated for ten Oscars last month, American Hustle did not take home a single gong.
