Swan Hellenic is well known for its voyages of cultural exploration and expert on-board speakers. This year it's bringing a taste of cultural adventure travel to the Cheltenham Festival of Literature with a series of talks and events on the theme of "Distant Climes". Speakers include Michael Palin, Pen Hadow and Douglas Hurd.

The Independent has teamed up with Swan Hellenic to offer one reader and a partner the opportunity to join its new ship, Minerva II, on a voyage of cultural discovery. The prize is worth up to £10,000 and the winner can choose an itinerary from the current 2004-2006 brochure. Accommodation for two people sharing will be provided in a deluxe cabin with balcony, together with flights from London to the ship. For more details visit www.swanhellenic.com.
