A PERFECT MURDER. Three people. One triangle. A wealthy and powerful husband Steven Taylor (Michael Douglas). The intelligent, beautiful young woman he married Emily (Gwyneth Paltrow). Her soulful and attractive lover David Shaw (Viggo Mortensen). A dangerous combination, to be sure. Perhaps a deadly one............

THE NEGOTIATOR. Danny Roman (Samuel L. Jackson) is a Chicago police officer and the best hostage negotiator in the department. When his world is destroyed by false charges of murder and embezzlement, he knows how to make people listen to him and turns hostage taker. Chris Sabian (Kevin Spacey) a respected negotiator from another precinct, is brought in to mediate.

Sabian and Roman make formidable opponents, engrossed in a tense and potentially explosive situation.sabian starts to wonder whether roman is a man gone mad or a man desperate for justice. As the stakes rise, the siege appears to be spiralling out of control - and Sabian is driven to answer the same questions that are obsessing Danny Roman.
