International football is back, and the Premier League title race has been paused for England’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against Czech Republic and Montenegro. Even with this, the most popular England team for a generation, how much do we all care? Jack Pitt-Brooke, Jonathan Liew and Lawrence Ostlere discuss.

England could win two trophies in the next 15 months, with the Nations League finals in Porto this June then Euro 2020 at Wembley next year. Because Euro 2020 could well be the peak tournament for this generation, England’s best chance at a trophy. Especially because the example of Germany shows that teams have to win while they are still young and before stasis sets in.
