A former Conservative minister is embroiled in a fight over money with his estranged wife.

Businessman Richard Harrington, who was MP for Watford, and his estranged wife Jessie were both at a hearing in the Central Family Court in London on Friday.

Judge Anne Hudd oversaw a hearing in private.

She said Mr and Mrs Harrington could be named in media reports but said no detail of the case could be revealed.

Mr Harrington, a former business minister, became MP for Watford in 2010 and stood down in late 2019.

He had been a critic of both Boris Johnson's and Theresa May's Brexit strategies.
