Steam, the online gaming platform, has stopped working.

The game platform stopped working Monday, ahead of its 2019 Halloween sale.

According to Down Detector, the outage is affecting users in the UK, as well as parts of Europe and the US.

The issue is affecting the ability to login for some, while others have reported issues seeing their friends lists.

While some users say Steam is back up and running, others are still reporting outages.

On Twitter, users are attempting to contact Steam regarding updates.

"Any news on how long it will be down for? I want too play Hunt Showdown," one person tweeted at @steam_games. Another said: "My Steam network is down right now and it says I have no friends online and it shows friends network is unreachable?"

As of now, the website has not acknowledged the outage, with Steam's most recent tweet regarding a sale for Endless Space 2 and DLC.

Steam's Halloween event will feature deals on horror games, as well as a guide that informs users of all the games that are running Halloween-themed events.
