It’s a right royal biscuit

Made especially for the upcoming Royal Wedding, McVitie’s created a limited edition “transatlantic” biscuit.

It brings the nation’s favourite, Chocolate Digestive, together with a classic all-American flavour, chocolate fudge brownie. Think Chocolate Digestives with fudge pieces, cocoa and brownie flavouring.

The Life of a Digestive Biscuit

The Chocolate Fudge Brownie flavour came on top of the biscuit giant’s Twitter poll, beating other classic American flavours including Mississippi Mud Pie, Peanut Butter and Jelly, and Pecan Pie.

There are only 50 packs of the special edition packs and will be available for lucky fans to win in the lead up to the big day via the McVitie’s Twitter channel.

This is not the first time McVitie’s has created something special during a Royal Wedding. In 1947, McVitie and Price created (then) Princess Elizabeth and Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten’s spectacular nine feet high wedding cake and in 2011, made Prince William’s groom’s cake, which was made of nearly 2,000 Rich Tea biscuits and 17kg of chocolate.
