How to get a glitzy Christmas party look

Tis the season to be glitzy

Festive Season Make Up Tutorial

With the festive season kicking in, wow friends with this simple party look that still adds some glamour and glitz to your usual night out look.

Here are celebrity and cruelty-free make-up artist Justine Jenkins’ tips:

Festive Season Make Up Tips

Use a foundation and complexion buffer brush to apply and blend the foundation. Start on the T-zone and blend out toward the hairline.

Conceal dark circles and blemishes with concealer brushes.

Set the foundation by dusting translucent powder over the face with either a full powder brush, a sheer powder brush or a sheer finish blush brush.

Start your party eyes by applying gold shadow to the lids and lower lash line and blend out using an ultimate shade brush and micro blending brush.

Trace a dark brown shadow along the upper and lower lash line using enhancing eye brush set.

Apply a glitter setting gel to the lids and press gold glitter onto the lids and inner corner of the eye for a bit of party dazzle.

Using a brow shaping duo, brush through brows, fill in any gaps and shape as desired.

Apply mascara using a spool brush.

Contour and highlight using either a define and highlight duo brush or a finish brush.

Add warmth and lift to the skin by dusting a pink blush to the apple of the cheek. A soft pink is perfect for pale skin compared with a bright fuschia pink for darker skin tones. Take a sheer finish blush brush, swirl in the blusher, tap off excess and apply to the apple of the cheek blending out over the top of the cheekbones toward the temple.

Try a bright, hot, neon pink lip colour for a more modern look

Finish by adding a flash of colour on the lip. Instead of a party red, try a bright, hot, neon pink for a more modern take on the party classic.
